Yamayu Santatsu: Japanese Restaurant
People who are familiar with Kassa4 and the Ossenmarkt (so mostly students) have probably seen this restaurant a million times without realizing it's one of the best in Antwerp.
Of course the square sometimes smells like fish after hours but that's just because they serve such delicious and fresh sushi. It's small and cozy and you can definitely see the Japanese style throughout the restaurant, nothing over the top, just authentic.
Although the restaurant is a bit more on the pricey (+- €20 for a main course) but it is well worth your money. If you love sushi, get a seat at the bar and order the sashimi. Also very delicious (and tested by yours truly): gyoza, yakitori (both starters) and yakinuki. And a glass of Asahi (japanese beer) is always a good choice.
