Second hand and vintage shops come in very different shapes and forms. A lot of people like shopping at these stores (chances are you'll find something unique!) but even if you don't like wearing second hand clothing it's often fun just to take a look around!
Retro shopping
There are quite a few second hand shops in Antwerp, most of them specialize in clothing but Second Life is really a mixture of all things 50s, 60s and 70s. They have a great collection of vintage furniture (just check out their website) but they really sell everything from records to chairs to sunglasses and clothing for men and women.
location location location
Second Life is located across from Sint Paulusplaats, in a neighbourhood where you find a lot of bars and eateries but not that many stores (except for maybe sex shops) so you have to go a bit out of your way to visit this one. Luckily for us, the store's opening hours are adapted to the location. They are open Wednesday through Sunday from noon till 7pm and have a special shopping night on Thursday when they keep the store open till 9pm. So if you're looking for that one special piece, you might find it here!
