Homey is one of those places everybody knows (or at least people who like to go out). If you refer to something near this bar, you would say "it's near homey" and most people will know where it is, that's how popular it is and it attracts a great mixture of people.
A fixed feature in Antwerp
The bar has a huge terrace during the summer on the beautiful Sint Paulusplaats and it right next to Video Take Out (the last video store standing, well almost) and Plein Midi (a great breakfast place) and it's the perfect place to have lunch. Also worth a note is the beautiful interior.
On the menu
What makes Homey such a great place is that you can spend your whole day here. Start with lunch at noon and just stay till the early morning. They have a great selection of tapas and sandwiches but most importantly, they serve a great cocktail. Not into cocktails? Try some of the other drinks on the menu like homemade Ice-T or milkshake. You'll also be able to work during the afternoon because they have free wifi, which is always a plus. Sometimes they throw parties (even though it's a small space) or organize concerts but most people come here to have a drink at night and just see where the night takes them.
