Cinema Urbana: Norwegian Wood

Nothing is more gracious than a full moon lighting up the screen of Haruki Murakami’s Norwegian Wood.

A movie that glazed a silence on the crowd’s tongues while the music from the Beatles and other great musicians carried the images through the night…. A wonderful setting, on the riverside of the Schelde, a dream team that managed to make everybody feel like this could be the best self-made sand beach to watch great movies in open air. Boats floating behind the movie screen, people lying in the sand and enjoying the first edition of this years Cinema Urbana. A woman in the back, holding the perfect man. A great soup during the break to soften the throats, because once the first words of the movie waved through the crowd we all held our breath. If you don’t remember what mind-blowing is, we dare you to spend an evening in open air with a view that blocks your sight, but opens your mind.
